1 volume (313 leaves) : paper ; 17 x 10 cm bound to 18 x 11 cm
Collection on the coutume de Maine, including observations on each part of the coutume, a definition and discussion of words used in the coutume, and a supplement. The observations are, for the most part, quite brief, with the excpetion of those concerning succession, prescriptions, and common goods. The section dedicated to explicating various words, organized alphabetically, is far more extensive. The titles of each section are supplied from the tables of contents that follow the texts themselves. After these tables is a genealogical table for the descendents of Jacques Challopin, dated 1804.
