1 volume (24 leaves) : paper ; 32 x 22 cm bound to 33 x 23 cm
Two legal documents, one by Juan de Zaya Berrie and the other by the licenciado Gomez Ramiro. The first comprises the first 20 leaves and regards a distpute between Don Bernardino de Guzman y Ulloa and Diego Garcia de Ulloa over an estate near Málaga. It is signed by Juan de Zaya Berrie and dated May 1622. It includes calculations on the verso of the last leaf. The second judgment deals with a debt owed by the royal hospital or hostel, affiliated with a monastery so likely the Hospital Real de Santa María Magdalena, to Don Mateo de Caceres. It is signed by Gomez Ramiro, but not dated. As the date 1591 is referred to repeatedly, the judgment was likely rendered in the late sixteenth century. The two manuscripts were apparently disbound from other manuscripts, at least once.
