Summary
Virginia Governor William Berkeley's treatise, entitled "A Discourse and View of Virginia, printed in London in 1663. A notation at the beginning of the pamphlet includes the following description: "In the early years Governor Berkeley had been friendly towards Lord Baltimore, but in this tract, written after the restoration, one finds the beginning of an antagonism to the younger colony that was to increase as the years went on."
