1846 report of the House of Commons Committee of the Judiciary and the substituted bill regarding real estate assets. This bill provided for a procedure for an administrator or executor to sell real estate, should chattels and goods be insufficient to cover all debts. This process required specific steps taken to ensure the procedure and proper payments of debts, while also retaining as much of the real estate assets as possible. However, the right of dower could not be affected by implementation of this bill.
