Notarial copy of a royal mandate to Noel le barge, which name was added in a second hand, for the payment of the military in "our" country and the Duchy of Normandy for the coming year. Jehan Faue was to receive 46 lvires 10 sols and Nicole de Boys 45 livres 7 sols. The document is dated "Donne a Amboyse le penultime jour de decembre lan de grace mil CCCC soixante quatre. Et de n[ot]re regni le quatorsime." It is signed "Par le roy..." with the notary's signature and sign. Remnants of stitching and "tiij" inscribed in ink at head of document; irregular strip, 4.5 x 24.8 cm, excised from foot of document.
