Summary
1848 House of Commons bill to establish a hospital for the insane. Commissioners were to be appointed to purchase land near Raleigh, as well as contract and oversee the construction of this hospital. Appointments of trustees, hospital staff were also included in the bill, as were the procedures for the admission of patients.
