Summary
1848 House of Commons bill to secure a more certain administration of justice, by requiring judges to state reasons on a rule for a new trial, and allowing an appeal for same for reasons other than the verdict was against the weight of the evidence. The recommendation from the Committee on the Judiciary was also included.
