Chirograph containing an indenture between Edward [W?]ither, mercer, of London and his wife Mary, Thomas Curti[ce?] and his wife Mary of Buckinghamshire, John Quarring of Buckinghamshire, Samuell [H?]ood of Montmort in Buckinghamshire, Ralph Birk, and Henry Ffoster of Whitechurch regarding rent, two messenages, two cottages, four gardens, etc. Samuel, Ralph Birk, and Henry Ffoster were the plaintiffs and Edward, Mary, Thomas, Mary, and John Quarring were the defendents. Parties' signatures on the fold and seven pairs of slits with parchment ties at foot of document. Seals missing. Writing on verso, "Cromwell 1656" in red pencil by a modern hand; note signed John Steward and sign in ink by contemporary hand.
