Summary
Chirograph containing indenture between between Richard Caryll of London and George Bayle, or Baile, of Standen. In return for an unspecified sum, Richard makes over the rent of Quarrendon (alternatively spelled Quarrenden, Quaryndon, and Querunden), an estate in Buckinghamshire, which was granted by Queen Elizabeth to Sir Henry Lee, knight. Caryll written above fold near foot of document. Statement and signature of Brian Moore, in two separate hands, at foot of document; additional signatures on verso. 5 slits at the foot of the document. Note in Latin on verso summarizing the document and specifies that it was written by Thomas Stanley. Additional note in red pencil "Chas I 1634" by modern hand.
