Summary
Chirograph containing indenture between William Bithell of Winton and John Henden of Chichester recording property transaction for a tenement in Winton whose borders are delineated in the document. Dated "the sixtenth day of Ma[r]ch in the eight and thirtieth yere of the reign of our souereigne Lady Elizabeth by the grace of God of England, Ffrance, and Ireland Queene, defender of the faith." Sign and two slits with parchment tie at foot of document. Seal missing. Writing, possibly a signature on the fold. Small ink splotches on lines 16 and 26. Signatures and summary notes by a later hand on verso.
