Summary
Chirograph containing an indenture between Thomas Omer and his son Daniel of Cotsgrove near Reading and Thomas Bartlett and William Cotte of the parishes of Landcombe and Widcombe in Somerset. Thomas and Daniel Omer indenture for release parcels of land to Bartlett and Cotte, previously in the tenure of Robert [Holdstock?] in the parish of Walcot in Somerset. The lots' boundries and the yearly rent are stipulated. Rectangular slip of blue paper embossed with a VI pence 1 shilling stamp on left margin; a square piece of paper on its verso with a crown and monogram. Bartlett and Cotte's signatures above the fold; two slits with green ribbon and red wax seals inserted into two slits at foot of document. Notes on verso, including a diagram of the lots, a summary of the document's contents, and a statement that the document was sealed and delivered by Bartlett and Cotte in the presence of the witnesses, William Biggs and George Rogers, who have also signed their names. Some staining on verso.
