Summary
Two slips of parchment signed by James Kent, record of New York. Slip one is 11.1 x 10.2 cm; staining and wearing along the center crease has obscured most of the text; dated 20th September 1797. There is a slit along the crease on one half of the document. Slip two is 10.3 x 13.1 cm and in better condition. In it Henry Rosenkranz is delivered to bail to Matthew Gallalea, John D[a?]e, Richard Jon Underhill, and John Underhill on November 22d 1797. Both the day and the statement "before me" added by a second hand. 0.9 cm hole in the center of the document. A note with documents, now stored in Robbins file, indicate that these slips of parchment were found in the Duer, Discourse on the life, character, and public service of James Kent, 1848 and is addressed to Miss Parma at Boalt Hall.
