Summary
Instrument recording a lease made before "Jehan dit Odiliolz de Metz," a public notary, at the court in Verdun. Giraire d'Aire, acting on behalf of the abbess of the Benedictine abbey of "Sainte Glocenne," presumably Sainte-Glossinde, in Metz leases a "piece de preit" to "Jehan dis li Camus, fils Dameselle Leuchette" of Dompierre, presumably Dompierre-aux-Bois, in the diocese of Verdun. The notary's signature appears at the foot of the leaf. The manuscript is dated "mil trois cent et quarante [et] huit ans don deixcutime don mois de may." A strip of parchment has been partially cut from the foot of the leaf and knotted. Notes on the verso in seven hands.
