Summary
Manuscripts, presumably compiled and bound by Mario Farefoschi during the late eighteenth century, that deal with ceremonies, including the sprinkling of holy water and the opening and closing of the Porta Sancta, at the Lateran Basilica. Several texts specifically refer the Jubilee in 1750. The collection includes a discussion of the Aspergem, the ceremonial sprinkling of holy water, by Carolus Luti; a Dubium referring to the aspergillum and Marefoschi; "Urbis Basilice Lateranensis Aspersionum a quae Benedictae..." by Joseph Aurelius Missinus; "Relazione della funzioné fatte nella apertura é clausura della Porta Santa nella Basilica Lateranense l'anno del Giubileo 1750 fatta copiare dall'Em[minentissi]mo Sig. Cardinale Mario Marefoschi, archiprete della detta Basilica dal codice esistente nell'Archivio di S.
