Summary
Chronological collection of renewals of laws for the French city Lille between 1592 and 1632. Several renewals, as well as creation and renewals, from 1592, including serments, placart du roi, a commission, a commision particulier; several of these are signed Berreyken. There is also a list of city officials, commissaires, mayeur, and others under the heading "La loi de la ville de Lille renouuellement la jour de la Toussaincts, 1592". Similar lists are given for the years 1593-1619. These are followed by a law, an extract, a serment, "La loy de la Toussainct xvi vingt" which provides a list officials, the creation of a law dated 1621, "Les commissaires", "Creation de la loij pour la Toussaint" which lists officials for the years 1622-1626, "Difficulté que s'est presentéé auéc Messieurs de la Chambre pou̓r le renouulelement de la loy de la Toussainct svj vingt sept", "Creation de la loy de la Toussant" that list officials for the years 1627 and 1628, copies of two letters on the renewal of the law of Toussaint dated 1629 from Isabelle-Claire-Eugénie, Infante d'Espagne; "Creation de la loy" signed by officials for the years 1629 to 1631, and "Renouuellement de la loy de la ville de Lille" for 1632. Presumably, Toussaint refers to the date, 1 November, not the city. Leaves 7-9 and [111-116] blank. Many leaves are stained with damp with no less of text.
